Deep Spring

J.W. Kelly founded Deep Spring Distillery in Chattanooga in 1866. We had this photo in our archives of the original distillery. It is a pretty early photograph, approximately 1890’s.

We recently located an article from the Chattanooga Times in 1906 that not only gives two different views of the updates done to the distillery in the mid-1890’s, but also shows a drawing of the Kelly Building in downtown Chattanooga. (You’ll also notice the updated label on the Deep Spring Whiskey bottle!)
