Every now and then, we think it’s fun to go back through JWK & Co history just on random dates. We get to see what was going on that particular day across many years. Whether it’s business trips, charity events, personal excursions, advertisements - doesn’t matter to us. We want to see it all!

1883
Kelly leaves for St. Louis. Incidentally, he also owned a bar and billiards in that city.
1891
Kelly was the wholesale agent for a lot of different cigars & cigarettes. But did you know, he also made his own? It’s true.
1891
Mrs. Lizzie Kelly did a lot of charity work. Here, she is listed as a monetary contributor to the Working Girls’ Home.
1900
Bottled in Baltimore, and distributed by both Kelly & Betterton.
1903
If it’s only the best you want, get Deep Spring.
1904
Not too long after 1904, another branch of the Kelly umbrella would break off and form Kelly Cigar Company.
1905

All of your whiskey whims be at all times gratified with Deep Spring!
1907
Kelly passed away earlier in the month in 1907, but Deep Spring whiskey continued on in Tennessee until 1917, and everywhere else until 1919.
1910
The original location of Kelly’s store became Kelly Cigar Co.
1923
Kelly Cigar Co. lasted into the early 1960’s, when it became part of a larger tobacco company.
