"The Industrial Center of the South"
In 1885, The Chattanooga Times published a special edition titled, Past, Present, and Future of Chattanooga, Tennessee, “The Industrial Center of the South” Here’s the Cover:
It was published for “gratuitous distribution”, basically to tout all of the resources available in Chattanooga at the time. It was given out free, which meant that there were several sponsors on board to help off-set the costs of giving away such a pamphlet/book as this. J.W. Kelly was one of them.
We have the entire book, which is 71 pages long, but we thought we would highlight some of the pages of particular interest.
