
Apple Cider Bourbon Fizz
INGREDIENTS:
2 oz JW Kelly Single Barrel Bourbon;
02 oz apple cider syrup;
1 oz fresh lemon juice;
4 oz sparkling wine or sparking apple cider;
cranberries for garnish
ice
INGREDIENTS (Apple Cider Syrup):
3 cups apple cider;
3/4 cup brown sugar;
2 cinnamon sticks;
1 vanilla bean split in half.
PREPARATION (Cocktail):
Combine bourbon, apple cider syrup, lemon juice and a bit of ice in a cocktail shaker.
Shake for 10 seconds and strain into a glass with ice.
Top with sparkling wine or sparkling apple cider and garnish with cranberries.
Kelly's Cappuccino
In honor of National Cappuccino Day, we’ve adapted this recipe from the Kentucky Cappuccino.
INGREDIENTS:
2 oz espresso (or very strong coffee);
1 oz J.W. Kelly Old Milford Bourbon Whiskey;
1/2 oz white Creme de Menthe;
Frothed milk. (about 1/2 oz or so).
PREPARATION:
Brew the espresso (or coffee) and pour into a good-sized mug.
Add the bourbon and creme de menthe.
Heat the milk in the microwave and then pour into a jar and place a tight lid on it. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. (You can also use a milk frother or an immersion blender to froth the warm milk.)
Add the frothed milk to your cappuccino.
Kelly Koffe
In honor of International Coffee Day, we thought we’d post this recipe, paired with Big O Ginger Liqueur.
INGREDIENTS (Coffee-infused JWK Bourbon):
1 750ml bottle of J.W. Kelly Single Barrel Bourbon;
1/2 cup of your favorite coffee beans.
PREPARATION (Coffee-infused JWK Bourbon):
Pour the bourbon into a container with a tight seal.
Add the coffee beans, seal the container and shake well.
Place the jar in a cool dark place for about 24 hours. Then, taste it. Add more time for more flavor.
Strain the coffee beans.
Pour the whiskey back in its bottle, cap it, and enjoy.
INGREDIENTS (Kelly Koffe):
1 oz Coffee-infused J.W. Kelly Single Barrel Bourbon;
1/2 oz Big O Ginger Liqueur;
1/2 oz Rich Simple Syrup;
6 oz hot coffee
Whipped Cream (for garnish).
PREPARATION (Kelly Koffe):
For iced coffee: combine all ingredients into glass with ice and stir. Top with whipped cream.
For hot coffee: combine the bourbon, the liqueur, and the simple syrup in a pre-heated cup and stir.
Add hot coffee.
Top with whipped cream (optional).
