JWK & Co: Ads

J. W. Kelly & Co specialized in whiskey, true. There were at least 12 labels produced at his Deep Spring Distillery. He was also the exclusive importer for Brands from around the world and the United States. For example: he brought Budweiser and Schlitz into this area as their exclusive wholesaler.

One of the earliest ads we have for J. W. Kelly (also uploaded here ) lists fruits, French confectionary, nuts, spices, jellies, toys, and fireworks. It also mentions cigars.

We were lucky to find the following advertisement and wanted to include it here in our archives. It was an example of a higher quality advertisement of the time, and was more that the company’s normal text-only advertisements.
